Save the date players of the Golf Channel Am Tour... The Cleveland and Pittsburgh Tours are planning a fall event at the Oglebay Resort near Wheeling, WV for the weekend of October 21st and 22nd. It will entail a practice round on Friday October 21st at the Oglebay Resort's 2 championship golf courses, the Robert Trent Jones or the Palmer Course. You can stay at the resort and dine for breakfast in the restaurant and a fall tournament event on Saturday October 22nd on one of the courses to be determined that will count as an official 2012 Golf Channel Am Tour event and points earned will be awarded for the 2012 Callaway Order of Merit.
The total finalized numbers for the weekend are not complete as of yet. But it looks like the total package which can be booked through the resort's phone number (just mention that you are part of the Golf Channel Am Tour event) or contact Larry Hoffman for more info, will be close to $300. It will get you a practice round on Friday, Larry will be throwing a small reception Friday night, Breakfast in the hotel Saturday Morning, and the tournament round Satruday. You can also add another night to make a weekend or also bring family and just pay a nominal fee to add them to the breakfast.
We are looking for around 60 players for the event and will also be inviting other tours to come play in this combined event.
